The Single Life

Being single in New York City doesn’t seem too bad. With 8.3 million people, more women then men, it would seem finding a date wouldn’t be soo hard. It would seem all a single person would be able to venture into New York’s social life and meet a compatible single. It would seem so easy.

The truth is dating in New York City is war. Strap your boots soldier, grab your gun and try to survive the battlefield that is a “date”. Don’t believe me? Google any of the great “Single in New York City” blogs and you’ll get a glimpse of how bat-shit insane dating can be in NYC.

So what’s the point of this blog? My two friends SingleGal and GoodbyeGal gave me the idea about writing an anonymous blog about my stories as a single native New Yorker (by the way, read their blog, it’s hilarious!) After sharing some of my single stories with friends and family, it was determined I should write these down and share them with the rest of the world. Add the fact that male single bloggers seem to be a minority and you pretty much get the gist.

Welcome to the male prospective of being single in New York City.
