The Future of Single City Guy
Posted by Single City Guy in Updates on March 16, 2010
So Single City Guy isn’t single anymore, which leads to some questions, mainly, what happens next?
There was a blog post not to long ago, that asked if your blog keeping you single? It was a question I asked myself while considering taking myself off of the market. The larger question was, will Single City Guy cease once I’m in a relationship? I’ve always told myself the answer would be no, but when you’re looking down the barrel of the gun, you begin to think differently. Read the rest of this entry »

Win A Pair of Dockers By Showing Chivalry Is Not Dead
Posted by Single City Guy in Updates on February 13, 2010

I love Dockers pants, and they have been a fixture my wardrobe for as long as I can remember. So when I was approached with the opportunity to give away 5 pairs of Dockers Soft Khakis this Valentine’s Day, I jumped at it.
If you haven’t seen the “Dockers Men Without Pants” commercial from this year’s SuperBowl, take a moment and watch it (it’s at the end of this post, past the jump). It’s about men stepping up and wearing the pants, even though they weren’t! This Valentine’s Day, you have the chance to prove men ARE wearing the pants and that Chivalry Is Not Dead (#chivalryisnotdead)! To do this, post a comment on this post, or send me a tweet (@singlecityguy) about what you did (or for women, what a guy did for you) on Valentine’s Day, past or present. This can be anything, from making a great mixtape (hint), to a surprise romantic weekend get-away.
You have until Noon EST on Friday, February 19th, where I will then select 5 winners at random to receive a free pair of Soft Khakis (either in classic khaki or red).
Good luck guys, and show women that chivalry isn’t dead at all! Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Thanksgiving!
Posted by Single City Guy in Updates on November 26, 2009
Today is the day we (Americans) celebrate Thanksgiving, a day where we take a look back and reflect on what we are thankful for. For me, this year, it has to be the wonderful feedback, support, and new friends I’ve met in the past two months as Single City Guy. It has been a refreshing relief to be able to share and discuss my dating stories, mistakes, and hazards knowing that I’m not the only one in the room.
I hope you enjoy your Turkey and (hopefully) plentiful Thanksgiving meals and I hope you have a wonderful, filling and Happy Thanksgiving!

I love asking my girlfriends for dating tips. They are a great resource and help me become a better dater. When I started this blog, I wanted to provide tips for men to date better, who else to ask but some of my favorite bloggers and singles in the dating social media community. Starting today I’m featuring a new section of the blog titled “Tips for Men”, where I’ll ask a female blogger, dating expert, or social media person for a tip to help men date better. I think you’ll enjoy!
