Question For Women: Is Video Game Playing A Turn On or Off?

A pair of Playstation Dual Shock Controllers, one in red

I like to consider myself a geek, and a part of my geekiness includes video games. I enjoy a range of them and can’t see myself putting down a game controller anytime soon. In the past, women playing games like Halo would be unheard of, but today is less and less taboo. The video game industry if filled with women video game players, playing along their male counterparts. This makes me wonder, are guys who still clutch their XBox’s and Playstations a turnoff?

Question For Women: How Important Is Race To You?

For a while, I’ve been crafting a post on interracial dating, but as a Black, Hispanic male, I’ve always wondered how important is race to women? I’ve dated women all different races and backgrounds, but get a sense that not all women (even the most open minded) are as open. In the past, black women have gotten upset with me for dating a white women and white women have refused to date me because I’m not white. So, I wonder, how much does race truly matter to you?

The NFL Playoffs are in full swing, and this weekend represents the last major weekend before the Super Bowl! We all know there’s plenty of women sports fans, and for many of us it’s an attractive quality; but I wonder how many women love football? So women, tell us, do you love the pigskin, or not?

Do Women Seek One Night Stands?

There’s a theory that only men go out to have sex. Yet in today’s modern, post-feminist world, I’m finding many examples where women tend to be the aggressor when it coes to seeking sex. I know women think about sex, as much if not more than men. What about seeking sex? I’ve often wondered if women seek one night stands, and how often? Enjoying them is quite a different question.

Would You Date Your Good or Best Guy Friend?

Happy, smiling couple

I’m finding more and more women tend to date their good friends or the best friends. Often they don’t end up in a relationship immediately, but over time reconsider the guy as a potential dating partner. Many men like to think they have a chance with their cute female friends. I often consider I continue to have a chance with them, although I’m never really holding out hope. Many movies show women who’ve ignored an unassuming guy, as he turns into the love of their life. I’m not sure if this is truly the case, but it begs the question. Would you date your good or best guy friend?

What Do Women Look at First When They Receive a Message on A Dating Website?

I’m finding myself in a bit of a quandary. I believe women are receiving great messages from one on OkCupid, but aren’t responding to them. Messages by my dating coach and myself seem to have the same results. They do seem to be visiting my profile. While the message seems good enough to gardner some attention, they aren’t good enough for a response. I’m trying to figure out what the problem is here.

My thought is women may be looking at my profile first before the message, or reading the message than the profile to see if it’s worth responding to. So the question I have for women is this: when you received a message do you read the message first or view the profile first?

Women, feel free to answer the poll below or leave comments below.

Question for Women: What Should We Shave?

SEVENTY | threesixtyfive "Business on the right, fun on the left"

Men are taught that our facial hair is an important part of our grooming. It can make us attractive (or not) and portray a sense of personality. We’re taught to shave by our fathers, the same way they were taught by their fathers. We have more than facial hair to deal with and ignore the conversation surrounding shaving our parts. It’s clear women have strong opinions about men shaving. The question I have is, do women expect men to shave and trim? Which is preferred, clean shaven or trimmed? Is there any other body hair (back hair, chest hair, underarm hair) that men should also shave or trim? Women, please provide your thoughts in the comments section below.
